On January 14, 2020, Lt. Col. Jean Gosselin, Canadian Defence Attache to the Kingdom of Thailand, and his team paid a courtesy call to Lt. Gen. Sittipol Nimnuan, Director- General of Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC), Joint Operation Command at TMAC headquarters requesting to obtain the following issues: the current mine situation in Thailand; constraints found in mine operations, and exchanges on ideas and perspectives concerning humanitarian mine action. Information obtained from the visit would greatly benefit work-related coordination between the two countries and promote collaboration in the future.
