On March 2nd, 2020, Lt. Gen. Sittipol Nimnuan, Director-General of Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC), Joint Operation Command and his Excellency Heng Rattana, Director of Cambodia Mine Action Center (CMAC) mutually signed a memorandum of discussion and survey on pilot-project areas regarding Landmine Disposal Operation along Thai and Cambodian Borders.

The signing of the memorandum held at Indo-China Hotel, Srakeaw is believed to build a greater cooperation along the borders, to promote Social Economic Trade Development and to enhance safety of Thai and Cambodian Local people in the areas. The signing activity was established to be in compliance with the guidelines proposed by General Border Committee (GBC) in the 13th meeting held on March 19th-21st, 2018, in Thailand. According to the GBC meeting, it is agreed that Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC) and  Cambodia Mine Action Center (CMAC) are assigned to be core units to carry out this specific mission. After the previous discussion had been held on September 17th, 2018, a survey on pilot-project areas between both countries was made on July 16th- 18th, 2019. The survey has been an ongoing implementation.

This memorandum could be used as work guidelines under sovereignty of two countries. Pilot- project area could be summarized as follows: SHA 111-01/AD located in Sanonoi Village, Aranyapratade, Srakaew was selected to be used in the project; BS/CMAA/22700 located in Kilolekbuan Village, Poyped was selected to be used in the project.
